Chinese Workers in 400 ton Stamping Press

This video is incredible. Chinese works sit inside stamping area of a metal stamping press. At first glance it appears unsafe just for one big reason but there are several:

• Worker's complete body is in press with obvious head and neck injury risk.
• Press appears to be cycling automatically and could come down while operator fumbles with part in die.
• No safety device like two hand switchs to comfirm hand location.
• No guarding between die and workers to stop broken punches or guid pins.
• No ear protection from noise.
• No eye protection.

I am sure there is more but elimination of worker safety appears to be a competitive strategy for China.
